Effective October 17, 2007, ABN AMRO Bank N.V. was acquired by a consortium of banks. The Canadian operation of ABN AMRO has been aligned with The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and an application has been submitted to the Canadian regulator to rename the branch brand under the RBS brand. Approval is expected in late 2009, after which it is anticipated that the existing business within ABN AMRO Canada will continue within the renamed RBS Branch. A revised website will be launched at that time.
